The Prisoner is one of the best bootstrap California wine success stories in recent memory.  In 2000 Dave Phinney made 385 cases of Zinfandel blended with Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Syrah and Charbono.  The combination of a dark and quirky label, a memorable name and a plush, rich and satisfying wine made it an immediate success.  Since those humble beginnings Dave grew the production to 85,000 cases before selling to Huneeus Vintners (Owners of Quintessa in Napa Valley and Flowers on the Sonoma Coast) for $40 million in 2010.  Huneeus continued the brand's growth up to 170,000 cases before selling to Constellation Brands in 2016 for $285 million.  The Prisoner Wine Company will be on hand to pour the 5 wines in their portfolio.  Join us to see why this wine has enjoyed such phenomenal success.
