Nicholas Allen, owner of the Carte Blanche label, has a rich wine-soaked family legacy.  His great-grandfather bought the famous Bordeaux first-growth Chateau Haut-Brion back in the 1930's. His family also bought Chateau La Mission Haut-Brion in 1983 and subsequently the Clarendelle Estate.  After so much exposure to is family's tradition of wine, Nicholas decided to create his own label in 2007.  Devoted to the notion of terrior, he came to California with a desire to work with a 'clean slate' to forge a unique, world-class wine in Napa Valley, hence the name Carte Blanche.  The ultra-premium Carte Blanche 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley is a rich, powerful, deeply flavored and exquisitely balanced wine retailing for $125.00 a bottle on which we were able to negotiate a very special deal .... just for our wine club members!
